Research & Development (of Business) Manager
This role will be leading and managing the Research & Development Team as part of Research, Development, and Innovation function within the Company.
Working closely with a number of cross-functional departmental managers, in particular Sales, Marketing, Internal Audit departments.
Responsible for project management planning of Company that being approved according to timelines and budget parameters. As projects move into operation, the Research & Development Manager will be working closely with Sales & Marketing departments.
Responsible for promoting a culture of innovation both within the department and across the Group.

Job Description
- Ensure that the department’s activities align with the Company’s development goals.
- Keep up with the latest industry trends and advances to ensure Company maintains a competitive edge.
- Develop and deliver ideas on new products/business orientations to meet Company business new objectives.
- Stay informed about the latest industry trends, advancements, and competitor products.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, other departments to ensure the successful launch and quality of new projects.
- Monitor and manage the R&D budget and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on the department’s activities and projects to Board of Directors regularly and per request.
- Ensure that all R&D activities are in compliance with regulations and requirements.
- Recruit, train, and mentor R&D team-members.
- Assess and manage the risks and benefits of new product/project development.

1. Project Management
- Set project direction, planning, goals, milestones and ensure project deliverables meet strategic corporate objectives.
- Plan and oversee projects budget.
- Manage stakeholders and third parties’ activities.
- Deliver projects within the planned timelines.
- Lead projects overall risk assessment and issue management.
2. Product Development
- Source and evaluate the potentiality of projects to prepare development plan.
- Lead and organise project development and transfer activities.
- Define and agree on the process, assess the critical data and provide data input as required.
3. Innovation and Growth Thinking
- Market Research – thorough understanding of the key areas.
- Review competitor products and old/new business trends with a view to identify opportunities for competitive advantage through innovative product development.
- Promote new ideas and initiatives within the Company; Lead meetings to discuss new ideas and innovations.
- Support and act as the point of contact for new ideas generated by others in the Company and prepare the required documentation and meetings to assess such new ideas.
4. People Management
- Lead and motivate direct reports to achieve personal development.
- Set impactful development objectives. Provides stretch assignments to develop talent.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives through delegation and empowerment.

Requirements
- BA or above in Business Administration, Hotel Management or related fields
- Exellent Microsoft Office & high technologies
- Fluent English, a second language will be an advantage.
- Knowledge about Tourism and Hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of local businesses and business trends in VN and the world
- Minimum 05 years’ experience in similar role.
