Job Description:
- To achieve the targets in Business Plan
- Participates and leads the rate and inventory initiatives, including but not limited to participating in revenue management.
- Identify and optimize distribution and sales channels for hotels / resorts
- Ensure distribution channels are effectively managed to optimize revenue and enhance the competitiveness of hotels / resorts
- Attends civic meetings ensuring a positive rapport and relationships with area decision and opinion leaders including but not limited to, local chamber, convention and visitors’ bureau, rotary, et al.
- Enforces sales related policies and procedures.
- Originate and carry out sales campaigns
- Keep track with industry trends; Stays abreast of competition and industry developments by attending industry conferences and seeking out advanced distribution knowledge
- Prepares reports as outlined including, but not limited to Productivity Report, Weekly Plan, Sales Call Reports, Market Share Analysis and Forecasts.
- Attend periodical sales meetings.
- Trains and evaluates respective sales subordinates regularly and as required.
- Coordinate with Revenue Team to manage Hotel room inventory/ rates to maximize/generate revenue
- Develop regular reports on sales activities, financial results and progress towards achieving hotel goals.
- Perform related duties and special projects assigned by HOD or the BOD.
Requirement:
- Fluent English, a second language will be an advantage
- University degree in Business, Marketing, Hotel Management, Tourism related education
- Minimum 3-5-year experience in a similar position in international hotels or companies with same category
- Knowledge about the hospitality industry
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to work well with a diverse team
- Experience in a sales role with a proven track record to close a sale
- Passion for sales and for achieving targets and objectives
- Proficiency in Microsoft office Pack
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Team Player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and good communication skills
- Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
- Excellent grooming standards
- Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
- Ability to work under pressure and under own initiative
- Experience of managing multiple stakeholders and tasks will be an advantage
- Pre-Opening experience is an advantage
